Generating more gameplay space while deleting the old stuff.

Fingers crossed that a thread like this hasn't been created yet. Haven't been here for a while, so if one has... I dunno, tab my wrist with a ruler and post the link. Anyways.

So I'm creating a game similar to Avalanche (http://www.thegamehomepage.com/play/avalanche/) with a couple of major twists, but I've run into a problem. I don't know how to make the game "endless". I need to be able to delete the old objects that are no longer on the screen anymore while creating more space for the new objects to occupy. Help?

    what about a timer to destroy the objects?

    I've got a solution for that. When they're not within the constraints of the screen, delete 'em. I just don't know how to make it possible to scroll upwards forever...
