Notification via e-mail does NOT work

Before the update when you created a new Post (like this one) and selected:
Subscribe To Topic via Email
you got an e-mail from GS if somebody added to the quote.

I no longer get these e-mail notifications?

Any idea?

    let's see, i just chose instant notification

    yup. nothing came through. must be something broken. Search was having problems too.

    GS, Sous Chefs. Can somebody check into this.
    GS's "Subscribe To Topic via Email" does not work.
