What is the best graphic design or something like it to make my games look great? I'm using free sketch up right now to make stuff now but is so dull. any programs I can use?
you could try Cheetah3D That is what I used to render the artwork for the trumpet app I have just released. It's about $150 and has unique features which come in handy when you need to render a pure black or white background.
cool. I was also thinking about using poser. not sure if it would work or not with GS. I have never used it be for it would work if I can j-peg or png the actors i create iI guess?
I'm quite fond of Adobe Fireworks, you can download a free 30 day version to trial. It's a little pricey, but its a solid and very robust authoring tool for publishing 2D graphics. Lots of nice prebuilt styles and effects you can manipulate to get some great effects for minimal effort.
Perfect for building game graphics, using symbols etc

Your right it is Christmas time, I have another option for 3d and that's houdini. download the apprentice license for free and render without watermarks for $100. great program.
