Snap to Grid

Hi,
I have a chess/card game where you move cards across squares on a chessboard. I want the cards to snap to the grid, and also sense when they jump over another card of the opposite type, like in checkers. I saw firemaplegames' demo "Dragging/Snapping," but my computer says GameSalad doesn't support .game files. Is this true, or should I open it in GameSalad anyway?
Any solutions for either question are welcome. Thanks!

Rename the extension from .game to .zip and then double click to unarchive the actual .gameproj files.

    Good luck!

You change the file from .game to .zip. Do it like your changing the name of the file then go to the end at .game and erase and change to .zip. It will ask if you want to change to zip, say yes. Then when it changes to the zip file just double click it, then it will turn to the gamesalad project file which you just double click on to open with gamesalad
