hi.
just trying out gamesalad.
the preview mode seems really choppy, framerate seems really slow. im on a 21.5" imac with 4gb ram and a intel i3 processor.
when i publish my game, will the performance be this bad. i've only got a couple of actors but movement is really jerky.
:(

just moving a couple of small actors. the performance isn't really that terrible, but its far from smooth. when i publish it, will the performance be better than it is in the editor?

If your just moving a couple of actors the performance should be absolutely fine?

Can you describe what rules your using?

Honestly performance should be pretty darn good in preview mode and on a device as long as you dot ask anything too crazy of gamesalad

if you could record a youtube video of what you're seeing that would be great, what kind of rules are you using? how are you making the actors move?

ok. figured out that a lot of my problem was because of other applications running, however, I've been using the Love game engine a lot, and this is still nowhere near as smooth. You've pretty much answered my question about the differences between editor and device performance, and while its really not too bad, its still not what I'd like. maybe when I'm working on something a little less reliant on a silky framerate I'll give gamesalad another shot. thanks for all the replies :)

I made the experience, that high resolution slows the viewer down.

I used it with 1024x768 resolution, which was fine. Then I changed to 1280x1024 and it is way slower now on my laptop
