Well it really all depends on how you want to do it. Also Trust and you will have to make an apple and I believe you would also want the same GS account but maybe thats not an issue. Prob best to look into doing a business and setting everything up that way. Unless its all gonna be you and he just get a cut or visa-versa. There is no one right way to do collaboration.

You will need the same file, locally, on your respective machines.

My colleague Jake and I worked on Gravitrixx together. The way GS works at the moment, we couldn't both work on the game at the same time.

Instead, we would send eachother the latest file to work on once we'd done our bits.

So you need one file that you swap between you.

    Hope that helps!

Edit: And for the record, we used my GS account on two machines. Not sure if that's important or not!

    Indeed.

I set it up so that Jake would need to do the least amount of coding - essentially, all he had to do was make some levels by dragging actors into the scene.

I believe we dragged whole scenes in from eachothers projects this way. Essentially, he'd make 10 levels and I'd put them into a 'Master' file.

It worked pretty well for the most part :)

    Good luck!

Use dropbox. Save the file to an shared dropbox folder. Should work great as long as you don't work on the file simultaneously .

    +1

Dropbox is great! Here's the link:

    http://www.dropbox.com/

Another good feature of the free account is that it keeps a 30 day history of your revisions and you can access previous versions if you ever need to.

I am also collaborating on a project, and tried sharing a file from one computer to another, but it didn't work.

When the file was on the other computer, it simply opened up another gamesalad application, but couldn't combine the file with the original group of files.

Is there a certain way to do it?

    thanks for any help..
