for resolution independence, do i need to have the canvas sizes 980x620
or can i just make my game in standard 480x360, and put images like a 100x100 into a 50x50 square,

    When you check RI every time you drop art onto an actor it will set the actor size to be half the art size. You build the game based off standard Res and Put in the double sized art. GS takes care of the rest
