hey rex45, i am newish too and have never made a proper menu (i just improvise around and hack away until something works) but I recall seeing something that should be useful for you.
At the bottom of this page are a lot of links. Look for "Support" and bellow that is "How To's". I believe someone has done a score demo tutorial. If not, there is probably something on youtube.
