    this say's it all:

    125,589 posts in 16,498 topics over 24 months by 2,059 of 48,458 members.

    only 4% of GS users actually post on the forum.

    Generally, the main forum is a good indication of how popular some software is.

    I don't believe that there are that many left after the last dust storm plus, there are also those who leave (and those who write about leaving but we count them anyway).

    Doesn't Apple have a public statistic on how many games are developed with GS and isn't it about 3% ?
