I have problem installing the Gamesalad viewer on my iPad.
I get "No provisioned iOS device is connected." when my iPad is connected via USB.

I have downloaded the latest iOS SDK 4.2.
Made all the changes in Xcode
Bundle ID and provisioning is done
When build and run in xCode, the viewer is uploaded to my iPhone 4 successfully.
But when I connect my iPad, Xcode shows no iPad is connected.
I get "No provisioned iOS device is connected." Why?

Please help!

make sure your ipad is listed as one of the devices included for the provisioning profile you are using--------

ios provisioning portal -provisioning-development-(the profile you are using)

make sure you are building with the correct profile in xcode-------------

xcode-project-edit project settings-build-code signing-code signing identity-(the profile that includes your ipad)

tshirtbooth: This really puzzles me. I have done everything you showed in your GS viewer video tutorial. It works fine for my iPhone 4. But when I plug my iPad via USB, Xcode just cannot acknowledge my iPad. It shows "No active executable device".

I doubt there is anything wrong with my iPad. It has the latest OS 4.2.1.
The certificates and provisioning are there. I can publish my app directly from Gamesalad and upload the app to my iPad via iTunes. No issues there.

Puzzling. Hope you can solve this.

Note: I recently wiped my iPad clean and restored as new instead of restoring from back up. Wonder if this has anything to do with the problem...

Just solved it. I went to Xcode > Window > Organizer > select iPad
    Click "Use for Development"

    What a relief!

    Thanks all for your inputs!

The thing that was getting me was not checking the 2048 bit and the RSA button. Plus, I had too many certificates in the Key Chain app. Xcode error report spot that right away, which was why I was getting the Red Failed & icon.

    Hope this helps someone out.
