Also, the project file for regular Mac desktop games is editable. I pulled out the .project file and used it to launch GameSalad. It looked like everything was there.
This is a problem! These files should contain some encryption. It shouldn't be a matter of right-click.

There's a difference here though. Usually, the source code is obscured. Usually there's more effort involved to extract game assets.

I don't think it's that easy with PC games.
As an example, Guild Wars has all of the game assets stored in a .dat file. Most users wouldn't know how to mess with that file.
