I'm wondering if its still possible to use my iPhone 3G for gamesalad developement, I'm downloading the latest xcode and sdk as of now. I'm just worried it might not work and I'll have to get an new iPhone.

I have an old 3G. Works fine. Keep in mind that the 3G is incredibly slow and sucks enormously when it comes to running games.

It will still work but as the Dr. said performance is very limited on those devices. and for some reason games keep getting harder to develop that perform really well on 2nd gen.

Yeah, the 3G is really bad for games. Sometimes I get around 18-20 frame rates. Just keep in mind that it only gets better from there :-)

You will want to find others with the newer devices to test your game on though since the game will play differently on every generation of device. its best to test on all of them.

Indeed. If it runs acceptably on your 3G, then it will run fine on newer devices. It's good to test it on newer devices as well, but you gotta work with what you have.
