does this type of graphics interest you?

the green are walls, the blue is glass (will have a smashing animation) and the red is death. (you touch and die)

the red thing at the top will probably be changed (right now its a spawner, only if your mouse is in that area it will spawn players)

and the white rectangle is the finish (its doesnt have a graphic yet, I need to make one for it)

now keep in mind the whole game and graphics AREN'T final! most of them are just place holders for how, but still what do you think of the graphics if they were to be like that just a bit better drawn.

    I'd put in some special effects by making the moving ones leave behind a trail of particles with the same image, just with it fading out over time. That will make it seem like more of a neon style on purpose, I think, and will make it more interesting.

    give it a go idiostuff! get some great play in it...

    I like neon and I like play.... love Asymptoteell's suggestion for particles...

    if when you finish and want different effects... you could always quickly add images.

    well it looks like I should stop using game salad :(

    just kidding, the bad votes will only make me try harder! I am going to re-design the whole game (keeping the blocky/square look)

    I will post a screen shot of the new graphics in a while!

    also what do you think the "ground" blocks should be/look like? Its all going on a BLACK background.

    Honestly, I prefer the first one. I'd round out the corners a little in the squares, and try to design a character that matches the other art more. Right now it looks out of place in the neon squares.

    The titling in the last shot looks ok. But as mentioned above it is a cartoony style, the block screenshots just don't match this at all. The gradient section in the other screens looks a bit ... meh. Maybe put the blocks through Photoshop with a transaparent middle and play around with a little bevel and emboss, inside stroke and inner glow.

    Don't get disscouraged buddy, i've felt like giving up heaps of times but that'll never get us anywhere!

    plus I think it looks pretty cool actualy, just a bit of work and you're gonna kill it! it's missing a little something but it's a good start : )

    It really isn't very bad at all. Im no graphics expert. I'd suggest just doing LOTS of tutorials for the software you use. That's how I learned to use cinema 4d and that's how I'm learning inkscape (saving up for illustrator. Can't wait.). Keep trying and keep improving until it looks like something you're completely happy with.

    On the last screen to do blocks and character layer move in parallax to the background? If so I think that would look kinda cool
