how long should a platform level should be?

hi iam working in a platform game, i want each level to be as same width like super mario bros 2, how can i measure how many ipod screen will take to make just one level, or what is a good length?

    You will have to experiment... The traditional NES based Super Mario Bros. levels weren't particularly huge so experiment... I've just started a platform game today too, you got any artwork yet? What style you going for?

    is like a aventure game in a island, and art work yeah but only on a book, iam doing a doodle game or hand drawing, iam not good with photoshop and cant pay some one to do my pictures right now.good luck with your game
