Hello everyone,
I would like to know how many of you would be willing to download and rate my apps if I pay you the double (2$ for a 1$ app)? You could ask your friends to buy it too, an you will have the money. Ex: you an 9 friends download an app, you get 20$ to do so. FREE GAMES AND MONEY! Click "yes" if you would like to do it.
Thanks,
David

I'd do it but my review would be honest regardless of paying.
Pretty unethical if you are paying people to leave good reviews even its not. And I believe it may actually be illegal.

Whats the app? can you post a link

Yeah, it's like a pyramid type scheme. Pyramids are illegal, you don't want to be the Amway of the app store. Although, Amway gets away with it somehow. Anyway, post a link of the game, if it's a good game, you wont need to pay people and their friends, you can get the review for free. I'd love to see it.

that's a good way to lose your developer license! If apple finds out you are trying to game the review system they will pull your apps and revoke your license.

    Hi,
Just to clarify something: It's call PPI (Pay-per-install Advertising). IT's not a pyramid scheme, it's not illegal and no I don't ask for good reviews... just reviews.
    Thanks

Still, it's a bad practice. I've heard of this method when I was working at an Ad agency, and we decided against it.
