what do people think would be better?

a new 2011 13" macbook pro (basic model) or a second hand macbook pro from last year?

not sure which would be best, new cpus are much better but i could get a bigger laptop with a graphics card that would be beneficial i think, not sure.

what do people think?

yea, i want a new one because of the processing power, but ive havent really heard anything good about the intel graphics in the new 13" models :(

all i would use it for is designing and making games in gamesalad and the occasional game of football manager so i imagine the intel graphics will be fine. hopefully.

I've never been big on buying a USED computer, so I vote for getting the new one.

yea man, im not really big on buying computer related stuff second hand.

i think im gonna go for the new 13" macbook pro, might try to get some extra money for extra ram and maybe a ssd.

would a ssd be beneficial in any way? i know its faster but i can only think that ill have to carry a portable hard drive with me all of the time because 128gb might not be enough :(

using macbook white 13.3 however GS will start lagging after a while , even crash without a reason. Is it more ram needed as i only have 2GB now.

More RAM might help a little but GS still has some memory leak issues. I run GS on a 8-core Mac Pro but I imagine the performance of GS is much better than your MacBook(!).
