Hello GS'ers

Got a few questions on this new custom splash screens for pro's;

1. Why is it only portrait?

2. If we want it in landscape do we need to adjust the portrait to work as a landscape?

3. It only allows a 320 x 480 image, what if we are using resolution independance? Should it not be a 640 x 960?

Cheers me dears

    I thought that was you would do to get landscape.

    Resolution Independance is the bit im really concerned with as we're only allowed to use a 320 x 480

    Surely not? If i have a game, i enable resolution independance then the following will happen;

    iPhone 4 = 640 x 980
    iPhone 3GS and below = 320 x 480

    So, if its only loading a 320 x 640 graphic then it will look alright on a 3gs and below but surely when it doubles, on an iphone 4 its gonna look blurred and pixelated?

    Unless resolution independance doesnt kick in until after the splash?

    Did you test on an iphone 4? I dont have a iphone 4, i just want confirmation that if i use the 320 x 480, it will still look right on an iphone 4 with RI enabled. Cheers

    It looks fine on an iphone 4, beefy.

    You *used* to be able to put in a 640x980 splash screen, but I think it caused a few problems (as those that bought Gravitrixx 1.0 will attest).

    They've since changed it and it works fine!

    Cheers,

    QS :D

    Excellent, cheers fella and thanks to GsLover too for your help. I do remember the issue with Gravitrixx actually, splash was blurry and didnt look good at all. I thought this was probably the case but thought i'd check to be sure :)
