Any advice on 'freemium' when sales are good?

I have a lite version of Epic Math ready, but this week it shot up to #15 in paid Educational Games. The lite version is 5 days waiting for review... so it could be out any time now. Should I hold off on releasing it until sales die back down, or go ahead and release it? It might also be worth mentioning that I don't have use of promotional links with my current free membership.

I'd hold off, and remove the binary from itunes connect. resubmit once sales die down and put it out there. if you let them approve it and just set a release date in the future, you could screw up your initial listings ont he front page of whats new.

TSB is right, the release date is based on when it hits the store not based on approval. However, in the past there was a lot of problems around those dates, luckily they fixed it a while back.

They haven't fixed it. I recently got a reply from apple saying that the release date is based on the approval one and not the one you set.
