Gamesalad should put GS viewer to the app store, that way we can install it easier and we have less trouble.

they have tried a few times, it's not allowed in the app store. that was their original goal, but it's just not going to happen.

you cannot try yourself, that would be infringement of their property.

I bet a version that doesn't store the app for non streaming use would get accepted. It would essentially be like isimulate at that point.

As long as there was a choice between the streaming app on the store or the viewer xcode project that allows you to store your projects for "offline" testing, I'd be all for it.

Apple approved similar app for Game Editor.

You can even test it from Windows PC.

When I tried the iPhone edition of Unity 3D, I had to download the viewer for the appstore (for free, not 24$ like this one). I see theres an UDK remote on the appstore also.

It's not really that important. It's easy enough to get it on your device.

IMO getting the GS viewer on your device is a pretty good litmus test to see if you're even capable of making apps in the first place.

+1 :) I have been through countless installs with many versions of Xcode and the SDK without so much as a squeek. I think many problems after install are down to network hiccups which are often caused by crappy routers.

With those apps, you even don't need an iOS Dev Account and i think it's great.

But you have to put the provisioning profile in for xcode. Just saying.
