So I've been making games for a while. And I always work with the technology available today. I feel that gs is almost there to make a really good plat former like mario. Is anybody else waiting for more features before they make bigger games

    I don't see how a great platformer can't be made in GS at this time? If you look at Mario, nothing in Mario can't be done in GS...

    Go for it ;)

    I'm waiting for Game Center before I launch BOT.

    Image flipping and iOS keyboard might change the game design a bit too.

    Supposedly, that's happening in the Spring... so it should work out.

    This helps for a lack of grid ... only a fiver too or free with any other template;

    Hi Mammoth,

    There is no reason to wait for that type of game. We have almost finished this: http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=22067 It have most of the features from a traditional platform game.

    The only thing we are missing is gamecenter :)

    Firemaple games has a great dragging snap to grid demo. It only works during gameplay though, not during the building of the level.

    I'd go ahead and make your platformer. There is always a new feature just around the corner. I feel GS is at a place now where it can work and it will only get better.
