GameSalad - Some Say It's Broken, Others Say Fixed

I've spent only several full days examining GameSalad, watching videos and browsing the forums. There seem to be more than a few members remarking that certain, (the latest), releases are quite broken for them.

What is the general consensus regarding this?

Which parts are truly broken, and which parts are completely trustworthy?

    Hi again, not broken, never been that. Bugs, yes, as you would expect in any beta software. The latest version - 0.9.4 is stable, with a few bugs which might or might not affect you at this early stage. There have been problems too, opening game files from earlier versions, but that won't affect you, of course. So basically, A OK in the main. Hope that helps.

    Works great. No show stoppers for me - just a few little bugs here and there. The biggest bug usually ends up being me!

    Psmith, as a newbie myself, who's been a little worried about the latest updates, may I suggest you do what I've been doing? Downloading the templates from the "new" section and studying them while I wait for the bugs to be worked out.

    Don't run older files on it though, then it sucks : )

    JPickard, heed my warning. Start new projects on there. Don't run older ones that where opened in 0.9.2 etc.
    My latest game had to be remade last night and it took a long long long time...

    I've been working on a game since last august, and have migrated through many major updates without any problems.

    My "Sounds" Folder gets deleted almost every time i open something up in GS 94. Sounds still show up in GS, but if you try and remove them or play them, GS crashes. Also, alot of my images suddenly lose their preview and if i double click them or click them to delete them, GS crashes. When i open the project back up, i get "No images folder" error, and thats on top of the "No sounds folder" error. I went back to 93, had no problems. I'll bite the bullet when its time to publish. Thankfully i have a triple redundant backup system, plus Time Machine every hour and i always duplicate the project before opening.
