Speed lines?

I'm making a game that involves racing. How would one make "speed lines" (or sort of tron lines) that correspond to the actor's movements?

I have the Player actor that only moves left and right with the other surrounding actors moving downwards to give an illusion of movement.

I need a resource light method without using a lot constraints and a whole bunch of "line" actors. Maybe with recycling actors?

    You can probably can achieve what your looking for using particles. Drop that behavior in and play with the settings there's lots of way yo can manipulate how particles looks.
