Pixen Tutorial??

Alright guys got a super big project in the making and it's going to be entirely in 8 bit, know this doesn't directly have to do with Gamesalad but does anyone have any experience using pixen?
Either that or recomending another program like pixen would be epic :D

    Honestly, when I'm not doing animation in pixel graphics I like to use Photoshop with the pencil tool. I use SteerMouse to map my Logitech MX Revolution mouse so that I can do almost everything with just my right hand. Variation and a lack of repeating elements will help make your environments more dynamic, so using Pixen as a shortcut in this way will most likely diminish the quality of the final work.

    However, for animation, Pixen is pretty great because you get a real time look at what you're doing. I've done animation in photoshop as well with great results. It all comes down to how much time and effort you're willing to put into whatever program you're going to use.

    If you like the idea of Pixen then watch a few of the tutorials on youtube and then mess around with the program for a week or two. You'll be a pixel master in no time!
