Advanced collision shapes

Now I know there's polygon collisions on the roadmap but I had another idea. I don't know how you would be able to make a shape when polygon collisions are available, but what if things could collide with only the opaque parts of the image. So it takes out all the parts that are completely transparent!

Let me know what you think of this idea. :D

There are pixel-perfect collision mechanics out there...Construct (google "Scirra Construct") has them. At this point, I'd just like the basic shapes--oval, triangle.

this was discussed awhile back, and if i remember correctly, the version of box2d that gs uses for physics does not support pixel collision
