I need someone to make me a free background image! Please help!

The title says almost all of it. The background image can be one of two things: a rocky desert (2D, bird's eye view) or a prairie (2D bird's eye view as well).

It needs to fit on the iPad, so 1024 pixels by 768 pixels (landscape).

    VERY clever, and I'm glad to hear it is a joke. In all seriousness, though, what art style are you looking for? Cartoon? Grungy? 8-Bit? That might help people help you.

    pssshhh... abstract expressionism is a style!

    But the problem with asking for a free piece of art on here is that the really good artists who do great work (and there are some floating around) make art for a living, and need some sort of compensation for their time they set aside to make you a graphic. Starving artists got to eat too.

    Try a google search to see if you can find a royalty-free image for free or cheap. That's one route.

    Or if you can't afford anything, maybe you have other skills you can offer up as trade for the art you need (maybe you're good at music.. i dunno)

    And as Asymptoteell said, more detail in what you're looking for. Who knows, maybe somebody will show up to do it for free, and bless them if they do!

    yes, and usually they are too busy working on projects and making too much money to even take new ones... you can consider... profit sharing or offer something to barter for their service.. like giving 100 rating for their app or your own time to help them with something in return.

    You'd prob have better luck creating a listing on craigslist asking for something free than you would here. I would expect most of the artists here are using ther free time for their games and them using paid art jobs to pay the bills. I actually think its quite selfish to just post asking someone to do this for nothing in return.
