How to make a spot for a joystick

Hi Everyone,
I'm having trouble find a space for the joystick. I made and long grass area where I would like to put joystick but when my player jumps the grass goes back to small because the camera is following him going up. So, how do I have the camera follow the player but have the grass stay the same?

    click the scene tab and make a new layer called hud, put it on top of the layer list and uncheck scrollable. Whatever you want to stay in place and always be in the same spot no matter where the camera is put it in the hud layer
