custom splash ipad size?

I would assume it would be 1024x768 for portrait but it wont let me select it, and its a png? Any ideas?

    I believe the iPad size is 1004x768 for some odd reason.

    I know its 20 pixels smaller in one direction or the other just cannot remember which it is.

    yeah i got it completely wrong but quantumsheep why the 748
    ive just gone to a couple of sites and tenrdrmer and bluebyu25 where right and i was the complete retard who got it wrong,sorry for giving dodgy info wont happen again but every site says 1024x768

    1024x768 is the standard iPad screen size.

    I have no idea why, but you have to crop 20 pixels off the width in Landscape mode for your splash screen - hence 1024x748

    No idea for portrait!

    Landscape 748x1024

    Check the other way and got them figured for both directions. It 20 Pixels off the height dimension of the image for both.

    Also added and answered to the CookBook. So No more questions Ever on this matter. LOL

    Well that's weird as .Matrixx has a 1024x748 Splash screen....
