Um, NO. Actually, other SDKs are amazing. Don't put them down, they rise over GS plenty. We're here at GS because we want to do thinks fast & easy That's no problem though! But don't put other great SDKs down :P
I wont say it would not be nice to have daily builds... but I believe GS have more important things to do like keeping on track with their monthly builds. Although it wouldn't be a bd idea if they posted what they have managed to achieve every day. (I am starting to have doubts on how much time the GS team actually dedicates to the program...)

I somewhat feel the same way. I feel like they spend a lot of times trying to get new GameSalad members.

Seriously, a little childish. GameSalad is amazing, for the people not willing to code. Coding, NOT STUPID. Do you know what is behind GameSalad, Tenrdrmer? CODING.
I'm not taking sides here, but every time NextGen posts a suggestion, in the right category on the forums, it just gets knocked down and this happens. I mean come on guys, a simple explanation why it wouldn't work would be better that this

OMG can you guys really not see the joke there. Pull your freaking panties out and straighten them up. Jesus. You wanna act like grown ups so freaking bad you forgot how to take a joke. Its the summer go outside an play.
And yeah i'm sure that would be Great. It surely would not add to the constant everyones pissed how the update broke your game. So now you want it to be broke everyday? There are far more important things. I would rather have 1 update every 6 months that was rock freaking solid than an update everyday filled with bugs.
it amazes me how they made you a sous because your the only child on this site

I am usually the one to make jokes, but I don't see the funny part about knocking someone down everytime he makes a suggestion. I never agreed with the suggestion, but he never got a reason why. Just a straight no.
tenrdrmer said: Pull your freaking panties out and straighten them up. Jesus.
I seem to feel the same way about you when I see some of the responses you give to some of the people on here.
tenrdrmer said: Its the summer go outside an play.
I don't think I'm the one that needs the fresh air. Plus, I am outside everyday swimming and playing baseball. It seems you might need the fresh air
Now that he has an explanation why it wouldn't be good, there is no more need for arguing. But it would be better if he got an explanation on the first answer instead of just a flat no. Again, Im taking no sides in this. I could care less about daily updates, although I would like updates more often.
yep ive taken screen shot and will be posting the image to GS and making a complaint about tenrdrmer,i just think you have way too much attitude and your way to aggressive to be a sous,i mean your meant to be helping people not being confrontational every time someone asks a question, how is the business meant to make money when people visit the site and read your replies,i for one wouldn't, so you need to fix up.
Constantly having to install a new viewer, new gs software , new bugs.
And always having to check what's in the new build.
I know I wouldn't have to install it.
Overall the software is pretty awesome and I should just spend time making great games with it as is. Though I look forward to a couple of things on the road map. Alot I don't care either way about. I just want to emulate a little bit of firemaple or tshirts success. And I dont need better software to do that, I just need time, skill and enthusiasm.
Ahhah, how to turn a simple thread in a big argument! The next question is: who is to blame? :P
I actually have a serious question which just came to my mind... Why does GS break our games every update whilst the other SDKs don't? The code behind it must surely be the same, right?
Its not the same, or at least as they improve some things other things go screwy.
As yet over 1.6 years of using gs an old project has never been broken that I'm working on with an update. (or at least not so broken I couldn't fix it quickly)
Anyway, going back to the subject of the thread, I think GS should give beta builds to anyone who is willing to beta test, not just sous-chefs. The more beta testers they have, the less currupt gameprojects will become after an update.
gamesalad can be great its just the constant repairing after each build and the memory issue is just way too big a deal for me to continue,im just amazed and this isnt a plug,by the really talented people like stormystudio, firemaple, tshirtbooth, utopiangames and all the other quality game developers on this site dont move to a more stable piece of software, with greater developing options on them, because what you create in gamesalad is great, imagine the outcome with a better performing software. just my pennys worth

I think that the constant rubbish posted probably takes its toll.
Why not *think* for a moment before posting. Think something like:
"Wouldn't it be great to have daily builds!?" Then: "Geez, every time there's an update, my game breaks." Then: "Maybe daily builds wouldn't be such a good idea" Then: *STEP AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD AND BREATHE*

I've not once had to 'repair' anything in any of my projects between builds. Ever. Stormy has said the same in this very thread.
Oh, and I've seen the outcome of people who left GameSalad to go to the 'other' SDK. Some call it 'graduating'. Please. Believe me, I'm not in the least impressed.
The only thing that matters is the person behind the SDK, not the SDK itself.
Joe from FMG could use GameSalad, Unity, Corona or just plain paper and pencils and he'd *still* make a great game.
On the flip side, people who make !@#$% games in GameSalad will still make !@#$% games with more 'powerful' software.
