    oh geez. I still have version 3.4? whatever the last free version was. I cant believe 4.1 requires Lion. Lion just came out.

    if you are not a paying developer it used to be you had to use Xcode 3 and if you wanted Xcode 4 you had to buy it from the mac app store however with the release of Mac OS X Lion Apple decided to make it free.

    ive been using xcode for a few years and its allways been free and long before i had a paid developer account, first of hear of it costing anything
