Saving entire game???

I am making a city building game and i want to make it so that when i make a building and press a save button, it saves all attributes such as money, and it saves the buildings. I can make it save the money and all fine, but my problem is that all i can save for the buildings is their positions, not make them in their positions when i load the game. How would I do this???

    You would need to save the x and y values if each building
