Game freezes when actor goes off screen

I have an actor which has an 'Accelerate' attribute that forces it downwards but when the actor leaves the screen the game freezes up. Does anyone know what is happening?

    What do you mean by 'freezes up'?

    It sounds to me as if your actor is leaving the screen and then you can't do anything because... well.. nothing else happens!

    Is this right?

    I have a timer which counts down from 60 to 0. Whenever the actor goes off the screen, the timer freezes. If you want I can post a video.
