Does the icon and screenshots really effect your sales?

Say I had this amazing game, maybe the next angry birds, but the icon looked really bad and the screenshots didn't look too great either. Do you think the bad icon and screenshots would really effect how many sales it got?

    well, considering that the screenshots are of the actual game, they are pretty good indicators of what you will be buying!

    Of course they do. 90% of people don't read the description so your screenshots are all people see. And your icon is what draws them in.

    One that looks like the title screen. I was thinking you could just show one screenshot of a really nice title screen so it would attract more people.

    You can, but who cares about the title screen? People want to see gameplay. You have five screenshots to convince someone to click 'buy'.

    Why waste one?
