Is there any point?

So with the iPhone 4S/5 just around the corner, its pretty clear that it's going to have a larger screen dimension. With the release rumoured to be September or October, is there any point in starting to develop for the current iPhone? I mean there is still going to be a bajillion current iPhones/iPods out there but if the games want to be the keeping with the trend I'm just not sure.

Its possible to create a small game in time but larger/polished ones can take months.

Im working on concepts at the moment and will probably do that until there is an official announcement.

What are your thoughts?

You target the slowest possible iPhone/iPod Touch to get the biggest possible audience.

Very true.. I only own an iPod Touch 2G at the moment and I see that as a advantage.
