Removing an Actor from Scene?

Hi All,

This might sound like a very simple question, but once I have added an actor to my scene, how do I then remove it?

I have tried hitting the delete key on my Mac, right clicking for an option. If I drag and remove it from the scene i'm worried it isn't deleting it just not showing it in the view?

    Apologies, I was pressing the 'Del' key as opposed to the delete 'Backspace' key.

    I have now deleted my little actor.
