I don't know the details, but i think you need to use the application "application loader" in the developer's folder

what? im not sure what the developers folder is, lol.
So the app has been submited and it says "prepare for upload" now im not sure if that means it will automaticle be uploaded, or not. Now there is some weird button called
    upload to binary
and i dont get what it does or if i need to do it to get my app on the store. its a mac app btw, so im not sure if its diffrent then submitting iphone app

You need to use 'Application Loader' on your mac. It is located in your Developer files as orbnoob said. Application Loaded comes with XCode.

i already uploaded it to apple though and they processed it, so i still need to do applicating loader?

when i do application loader it says
"no eligible applications were found. you must first log into itunes connect and provide information about your application"

You can't upload it without the application loader.

    Do you have xcode?

If you do go to the finder and search for application loader...

Go to about 4 mins in this video:

first off do you have the paid dev account, next do you have alll your certificates installed properly and your using a distribution provisiogn profile to pubish?

After all that you set the app up in itunes connect, then it will apear in application loader for you to upload to apple

i went into application loader and it dosnt find any, plus i dont see what butten he clickes to upload it, here is what happens when i click upload to binery, it tells me this

i did all that and now i go to manage apps and theres my app with a yellow cirlce saying prepare for upload.
  • hman360hman360 Member Posts: 590
That means you didn't add the app and submit the info for the app id./ bundle identifier

What? i dont get what your saying, haha sorry, how do i do that?

When you publish your app with Gamesalad it asks for a provisioning profile make sure that is a distribution profile. Select that in the drop down list. Then go to iTunes Connect and click on your app in manage application and then click view details and in the upper right hand corner click on ready to upload binary. Then go back to Application Loader find that application in the drop down list. Pick the file of the app you published with Gamesalad (Make sure it is compressed). Then let Application Loader do its stuff and it should say thank you for uploading.

Go to manage your applications in itunes connect and add an app (watch this video):

I think you are confusing publishing with gamesalad with submitting your app to apple. GS just makes a file for you to compress and then send to apple using application loader.

Yeah, he's clearly done all that as he is 'ready for upload'. He needs to upload the app through application loader. .... providing he has done all the certificates and that correctly.

Also make sure you zip your .app file. Application Loader will only recognize .zip files, NOT .app files.

i did all this stuff, here ill go through what i did excatly.

    Finish Game
Publish to desktop (the .app and .zip)
    Go to apple connect
    Sign up with everything
    click upload app
Select price and all that stuff
    Submit app
wait for app to get accepted
See app with yellow circle that says prepare for upload
    say WTF?
relize theres an upload to binary button
    say WTF does that mean
    come to gamesalad forums
    ask question.........

i think you get the point, and application loader dosnt find any games i can upload
  • JohnPapiomitisJohnPapiomitis Member Posts: 6,256
yes click that ready to upload binary button, then application loader will recognize it
  • orbnooborbnoob Member Posts: 79
