Hi, im 100% new to GameSalad. I've been noticing that there is no forum that can successfully show my self others how to take my or one of the GameSalad tutorial/demo games and put it on my ipod. I've downloaded the "Viewer" but it hasn't done anything, I also made a Apple Developer account but it appears that you need to spend $99 to make a provisioning portal and be able to publish (I don't wont to publish). I would appreciate help, please give an FULL explanation to how about you go about doing this.

You need the 99 dollar dev account to test on your device for both adhocs and using the viewer. Once you get that theres videos on gshelper.com and the gamesalad cookbook youtube channel that tell you how to install the viewer.

    cheers

So now it is my understanding that there is no way to simply take, lets say one of the tutorial/demo games and put on my ipod for my personal use only with out spending the $99?

Correct. You can play it and publish it to your desktop all day long, but in order to install provisioning profiles and such on the iPhone, you must have a $99 developer account.

So how about do I publish to my desktop?

Considering that publishing to my desktop is also publishing to my ipod for my use only?

Well, you have to make a game targeted for Macintosh. You choose this in the Home section under "Target Platform and Orientation".

The only way to play/test those demo games, and games you make with the software on your device is through the viewer. You have to have a developer account to install the viewer to your device, there's no way around that.
