I think common sense should answer that for you.

Just because you used GameSalad does not magically make the game non-commercial when you list it on the app store, Or distribute it anywhere else.

Ok, so if I sell 100 apps that have that font in it, and i make money off of those apps, then it is not personal use. I just used it for my own financial gain.

even if you distribute it for free. Its not just personal use. Personal mean on your device only ever.

Well guys it depends on where he gets the fonts and if they have a license on them or not. A lot of fonts are free and 100% open for commercial and free. Just check the website out. If they don't have anything against it then yes you can use it. if they have something saying that you can use it for commercial stuff then obviously yes. If they say you CANNOT then no you cant. Its pretty simple.

as he said in the post the font hes talking about is only supposed to be used for personal use. So that means not commercially in any way

But if its listed under personal use, even if it doesn't say you can't use it commercially, you have to assume that you cannot. He said above that it says personal use. So we have to assume he CANNOT use it commercially based on what he has posted.

Well if it says personal use then the answer would be know because that means its for key word here "PERSONAL" Use. It doesn't say Commercial.

I think it is pretty clear that it is a personal use font. I knew from the beginning because I actually read the top of the post.

I thought this was settled like 4 hours ago.

If you have an Ipad there is a simple method to avoid all issues of rights for font use and that is to make your own. I've made about 5 or 6 using ifontmaker and they work very well. It would take quite a long time to produce a formal font, but to make a cartoon or hand drawn style font can be done in less than an hour.

And for the iPhone there is another one called "Font Maker".

I think Font maker on iOS mixes up fonts that are supplied and is not actually able to output fonts to TTF so it might not be very useful and even it you did get a mixed font out of it the rights are still with the creator of the app as you are not changing the actual letter shapes.
