Hey there guys,

Well, This would be my first app so I thought I would post about it here.
I have made a Tiki Totem style game, and I wanted to post a picture.
I will update this thread every now and then so you can see what's happening.
Like I said, this is my first app.

    graphics look great. i wish u would post a video of gameplay though. i would DEFINITELY NOT BUY IT. but only because i have no money in the app store =P. would get it when i do though. looks great!

    Thanks guys, it means a lot to me. :P

    Although, I need some suggestions.
    The Penguin is trying to get onto the Ice Block, then you have to destroy everything else.
    Does the ice block look out of place? I mean art wise. I was trying to think what else it could be lol.

    Well in response to your question about the ice block. The reason why it looks out of place to your eye is because It's what the user will first look at. In art I believe this is called the vanishing point. So just tone it down if you want. But you might want the user to look at the block so I dunno, its really up to what your intensions are.

    Yes, Most of the art I am doing with my friend, we both love doing graphic art.

    Okay so those who don't know what the game is like, here is a brief summery.

    Your character (Penguin) is trying to get onto the block of ice. Help him accomplish his goal by destroying the various objects that get in his way. Be careful not to let him touch the ground, or you'll have to restart.

    I'll post more pictures later on. Thank you all for your support. I want the game to be done (coding wise) by friday.

    P.S. Make sure you do that code just as it is, spaces in the right place, etc. (I would spell out etc. entirely if I had any idea how to spell it!)

    The ice block just looks out of place to me, so I need to find something else to use that the penguin is trying to get to?

    Any ideas?

    A rock with snow on it?
    A different looking ice block?

    Hmmm, I think it would look pretty good if you just used one of the regular snow blocks, but put some kind of symbol on it that signifies it as the finish...

    Here is something I made quick, you could make it look like he is trying to get back into the ocean. You could use it as a block and have the bottom stay off the screen. You could even add a storyline.

    Make it so that this layer is above the background but below the ground so you won't see the bottom. Ad when the actor collides with it, you can make it shrink and then destroy to make it look like it went inside.

    That's correct, I did buy that graphics pack, it saved me a whole bunch of time - and its a great pack.

    Ice block is just fine! It's the "goal" it needs to stand out.

    Should the goal (the the penguin is trying to get to) be a:
    Ice Block with fish in it,
    Rock with snow,
    Something else (please post)

    @Jadar-

    I am doing almost all the art with my friend, we love doing photoshop and we taught ourselves. I love doing it, and so does he. We are a really good team. :)

    I did get the ice block from a pack I bought, it saved me some time. :P
