Making an object moving up and down automatically

How do I make an object moving up and down like an elevator??

    Thank you :) what do I have to do when I dont want the plattform to be moved away when colliding with the actor?

    Okay but what to do when my plattform is coming down and collides with my actor, hits him at the head, then the platform moves up very slowly and...

    I would like to say that then game is over when the plattform hits the head, but this is not possible or? because my actor has to collide with the plattform again when moving up?! ...

    Okey done but my actor falls after some time down again, altough he is still standing on the plattform??

    I just set the density to a high number and now it works, before it seemed like my actor falls down the plattform after some time

    I have one question, I want my actor to die when it hits the object... can you tell me how I do that?

    it is maybe a stupid question but I'm using gamesalad for 1 week now so I'm really new to all this :)
