"Save As" big problem

edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
Yesterday I tried to save a project using the Save As option but I noticed that the saved file was missing all the images and the screenshots.

At first I thought that the file I was working on was corrupted because I edited the .xml file of various scenes. So I tried with an old published project but that also was missing the images and screenshots after using the Save As option. I deleted the creator, downloaded it again and reinstalled but the problem remains.

The strange thing is that the normal Save option still works the problem is only with the Save As one.

Do you have any idea why is this happening?

I also thought that it was something corrupt, that's why I tried to reinstall the Creator. However the problem persist. To be sure that the problem was with the creator and not with my files I opened a new project using one of the gs templates and saved it, also in that case the images were missing.

I already contacted GS an I hope they can understand where is the problem.

I have the same problem, Mark - it only started happening after I switched to Lion.

They know about it (I've told them!) and still waiting for a fix.

It's a real downer on productivity. I have to make a copy of the project in Finder, rename it to the next version (i.e Sunshine1_2) then open that copy up.

    Cheers,

QS, save yourself some time and just option drag your game file in the same directory and it will number itself! :)

Although I do the opposite and always work on the main file making number copies as I go along that I would go back to if need be.

I'm somewhat relieved that I'm not the only one with this problem. I didn't thought it could be a Lion problem because I updated to Lion as soon as it was released and never had a problem. However it may be related to the last (10.7.2) upgrade: I started having problems with the Save As when I did a clean install of the upgraded Lion.

That's the workaround I'm using but it's really annoying after a while. I hope they fix it soon.
