Changing collision bounce based on object...

Hi all!
Quickie, is there a way to change the bounce (restitution, etc.) of an object based on which object hits it? Meaning, if I have object X and it hits Object Y, I want Object X's restitution or friction, etc. to change to another value. I understand that you can do this naturally with just adjusting an actors physics, but I was curious if you can go one step further than this and actually change these things on the fly?

    I dont think restitution can be changed on the fly. But...Might as well try it. I have never that I can think of.
