Paid Logo Design Contest .. Let the fun begin :D

Hi All.
After the stress of the GS updates, its time to have a little fun. I am looking for a logo design with the text 'Minute Laughs' and a symbol to represent it.
I am offering the designers a blank slate, I have no specific criteria in colours, size or styles, just what feels good to them based upon the name. I would like the icon to look good in both high res and at a smaller resolution, typical of what you might find on the web.
I may request small changes if I'm really keen on a logo and believe it could win, but i wouldn't expect much to be changed, i will leave most entries as is.
As i mentioned in the thread title, there will be a prize for the winner. I will be offering a £25 iTunes gift card, or paypal payment to the same amount. (Currently £25 is around $38 on the exchange rate).
Upon picking the winner, payment will be sent 1st, in exchange for the image in both high res and scaled down formats as transparent .png's.
If people do not know me and wonder if I'm trustworthy, I have been around here for 2 years and have paid for many services which a lot of artists from around here and sous that have helped with projects support, in exchange for money, could verify.
The contest will run from now until Friday 9th December and the latest entry accepted, will be 5pm UK time on the 9th.
Most of all, have fun ... I'm looking forward to seeing your entries.

Please see my submission. It is a different style to the other entrants, I wanted a more professional based logo. I altered the name of your company, however this can be easily changed. I liked the new name, I hope you do too.

The "M" and "L" from Minute Laugh create the shape of an hourglass in this logo. What do you think?

@Braydon_SFX and all - Thanks for your submission. Please be sure that you can actually legally sell what you are offering.
@mychony - All different art styles is appreciated. Just because the name is Minute Laughs doesn't mean it has to be cartoony. It will be for a professional business so i appreciate you changing it up. However, the name is most definitely staying as Minute Laughs. Personally though, I'm looking for a logo including its transparency, i want to be able to take the winning logo and drop it where needed so i wouldn't concentrate on the background of the actual logo. As for what i would like altered, gripsocks submission is the perfect example, you have a font for the text and a symbol that represents it. Now the symbol could be a smiley face, with or without the whole head if you get me, or something like gripsocks as produced, hope that helps ... unfortunately this is why I'm having the contest because i'm no good at logo design, i will however, know what i like
It certainly is fun for me seeing what people are coming up with and i hope the contestants are having fun too.
@gripsocks - I really like this, very clever to use the M and the L to make the hourglass. It is though, Laughs with the 's' on the end.
