The GS Viewer says it needs to be updated when I just installed it.

Hello Everyone,

I just installed the GS Viewer on my iPhone 4s, and I loaded everything. But then GameSalad says that I need the latest version of the GS Viewer... I JUST INSTALLED IT 10 MIN. AGO?? Anyways I am very confused.

I have also heard that the GS Viewer doesn't even give you the actual testing that you need. How do you get the "actual testing". Instead of installing the GS Viewer, I want to install my app. How do I do that?

    Make sure you have downloaded the latest veiwer and the lastest GS Creator. Both have to be on the same version to work together.

    For "real" testing follow this tutorial except at the end instead of a Distribution Profile Make and Adhoc profile. When you build with an adhoc profile and have setup your device with the profile you will be able to install it directly to your device. http://cookbook.gamesalad.com/tutorials/3/parts/12

    @tenrdrmer I skimmed the tutorial really quick, and didn't see any part to get it on my phone. I am a newbie right now, but if I follow all that jibberish it will put it on my phone?

    No it does not tell you how to get it on your phone. I told how to get it on your phone. Instead of building it with the Distribution Profile (like the tutorial says) and sending it to Apple, Build it with an Adhoc profile and Install it through itunes.

    So I went through the whole process with what you originally said in mind. I have my adhoc provisioning file on my desktop, but I don't know how to install it through itunes. Thanks again for your help.

    I'm having this exact same problem but on my Android phone. I have GS fully updated, and downloaded the latest Android viewer from the the site as well.

    Well... I skipped over the GS Viewer, put I got my game on my phone with adhoc, and everything is great. I used one of TShirtBooth's youtube videos (ios only). Here it is:

    Yeah, always look to the videos everything is there. Tshirtbooth does a great job!
