Sorry this is such a newbie question, but how can you record gameplay footage of your game and store it as video on the MAC?

I use Screenium - the trial version which is free.

It only records 30 seconds of footage before it stops automatically though, so I'm certainly all ears to any other suggestions!

That's perfect for now, I don't need much more than 5-10 seconds of gameplay footage for a trailer I'm working on :)

Do you use imovie for your game trailers? Saw your one on Bugz on youtube, looks fabulous!

I use snapz pro X, it's not free but works very well and not too expensive. Snow Leopard compatible too!

Does have a trial period too, http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/

Yep butterbean, I use imovie HD which came with my Macbook! :)

Looking forward to seeing what you've been working on - certainly sounds intriguing when you describe it!

Butterbean: It's part of imovie HD

Look in the transitions tab, top right of the viewing screen above where you put your video clips.

Quantum, I was able to record video with Screenium, how did you edit out the borders of the gamesalad program so that only the screen of the game shows?

Never mind, I'm going to use "Fixed area", is that how you did yours? :)
