Question about editing provisioning profile - Submitting to Apple

Hi guys,
As some of you know, I am ready to submit my app to Apple! Yay!
However, I followed a tutorial by Tshirtbooth for creating a provisioning profile etc for adhoc testing, and I have a question.
Can I just edit my current distribution from Adhoc to Appstore without having to redo everything?
So to clarify - I just go in, edit my checked thing from adhoc to appstore, then re download and install a new .app file with that?
Is that okay?
Or do I need to create a new app ID and go through that whole process again?
