Amazon Appstore Sales Jump...others experience same?

Anyone getting significant sales boost from Amazon Appstore? I got d/l of an App go from 50 average to 3000 on Christmas. Now that is to be expected somewhat but I have not seen such a huge rise in interest from the Amazon store like this.
Is it Kindle sales related? Any intel appreciated.

(it is not from a GS developed title but I have a GS title awaiting approval)

    Im guessing it was due to a lot of Kindle's being sold ... maybe wrong though. Im waiting to submit anything to the Amazon appstore, the sound delay makes it just impossible to release!
    Im really gutted I missed the xmas rush so to speak!

    What was the game/app you mention?

    Yes I am thinking the same. Hard to say if it is just a one off because of Xmas. The app is iRaspberry (been up there for a year now).
    Have a GS developed app waiting for review - hellozoo (which is on Android market place now).

    Amazon sales are better than Android Market for me right now. This seems to be an anomaly from most people's experience. I am getting sales of my new app higher on Amazon than even iTunes!!

    I have 1 app on the android market, and it's been sold 1 time. I have 2 games in review with amazon, hopefully they go through this week.

    I'd be interested to see how it goes compared to Market. Amazon has less apps - this may mean your app stands out.
    I am a bit frightened of the Amazon distribution agreement but lets hope they make it friendlier. I rushed in without waiting for the general analysis and now maybe it was not a great idea but the sales I am getting are encouraging and currently are at a rate beating Android Market.
