Create Animation with Particles?

Is it possible to do this? since Particles are far less demanding.
Could I simply use a bunch of particles in the one spot to perform an animation sequence, or would this not work well?

Have an actor rotating and particles coming-out of it?

That could work, but i'm just trying to limit the amount of actors :)
I guess when Sprite sheets come life will be easier.

Sprite sheets..... You do realise that's basically still an actor just the images are on a sheet?

    So quality Particle animation possible?

You can already do that by extracting the ong sequence from a gif..... I can animate one in inks cape if you want?

I think everyone is getting to crazy on this limiting stuff. I don't do tons of limiting of actors and my stuff runs great. Forget about the send gen apple devices in a year they won't be supported and with the a5 chips the devices can handle a lot. Time for people to develop for the future not the past.
