Hi guys, i just gotten a new 4th Gen ipod touch with 5.01 iOS.
I want to use it for development but xcode 4.1 doesn't support iOS5.01
So i downloaded xcode 4.2 (snow leopard), but when i clicked installed it was checking and trying to install but encountered errors midway.
So anyone of you guys have this issue as well?

jailbreak the ipod touch? i have done nothing, it's a new piece i got 2hrs ago with preloaded iOS5.01.

My problem is installing xcode 4.2 on snow leopard in my mac which is having errors halfway.

So its Xcode you can't install right? I think i may of had similar problems trying to get 4.2 on and did it from the Mac App Store in the end and that went fine.

Make sure you have the Snow Leopard version of Xcode it's different from the Lion version and make sure you're updated to 10.6.8. The 10.6.8 version is down to the left in the developer section.

Now all is done, developer profiles all installed on my ipod touch :P
