Application rejected from Amazon App Store

Just got word that one of my games was rejected from the Amazon App Store for the following reasons:
Motorola Droid 2.1 Issues:
1.Application sound is keep running in background on incoming call interrupt
2.Application does not cover full screen of device

The first issue I can understand, and is probably a game salad bug. but there 2nd issue? Anyone get this before? Since I obviously don't have every device to test on, how do we deal with this? I assumed it would just put a black bar on either side, but if they won't allow that, then we might have some problems.

anyone get something similar?

I have two apps that were approved and both letterbox.

good to know. this particular app was targeted directly towards phones, so maybe my tablet version will do better.

    Jon Check your PM.

Also for the Letter box guys. If you will publish with the nook/fire res its like a universal app. It scales down to fill most phones and scales up to fill most of the screen on the larger tablets. It really looks great all the way around and you only have to build it once for each store.

my tablet version of the same app got approve today but the other phone resolution one is still reviewing..
i guess they do have problem getting the app to run full screen on all devices :P

thanks for the pm, so if I publish using the nook/fire resolution, it's going to stretch everything right? would I have to tweak the camera setting alike I did for the iphone/ipad conversions? I'm going to give it a crack in the morning

Yes for the NookFire Res you just use the opposite of what you did for the iPad conversion. So if you adjusted the height on iPad you adjust the width on Nook/Fire

Thats for distorted actors. The camera is still adjusted to 480x320

Ok so we just need the 1024 x 600 version to be able to published to tablets n phones? Cos tested nook version on my galaxy tab it was ful screen. If I use iphone version there will be black bars.

    Sorry for being stupid here!

I have a game in iPhone retina, what is the best way to port to kindle/android and where do i first start?

you could try using the camera size trick, then run a test on ur android device to see if the screen fits nicely.
I use the Gs viewer over wifi on my tablet to test, it's quite useful.

@Beefy_clyro the same Camera Thing I posted abut for iPhone to iPad will work for converting to Nook/Fire too. You just have to adjust the opposite actor dimension than what you did for iPad. So if a round actor on the iPad had the height adjusted for iPad the same actor would need the Width Adjusted for Nook/Fire Res

I have used the retina iphone settings and published with no problems - you get the slight letterbox effect.

@GLGames you mention the 'camera size trick' - is this in the forum or a video somewhere? I assume it is a way to expand the camera size for the larger resolutions on Android phones??

@tenrdrmer - does adjusting all the sizes not stretch and skew things?

Here is the link to the Camera Sizing Trick. http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/32594/resizing-to-ipad-technique

Changing the project Res and then changing the camera back to 480x320 does stretch things. But thats why you have to adjust the actor size of the distorted actors. read through that thread and know that what ever dimension you adjust to go from iPhone to iPad do the opposite for iPhone to Nook So if you adjust the Width for iPhone to iPad you instead will adjust the height for iPhone to Nook.

    Hope that helps.
