do i need an android device to test ???

hi all.
i dont have an android phone to test app. do i need to get an android phone to test or can i trust the build i use on ios to look and work the same on android.
any help would be appreciated.

    if you care about the quality of your apps at all, you need to test your apps on a physical device. There is no substitution.

    You can test android apps on the kindle fire or the nook color. Barnes and Noble is having a sale I think on both the nook color and the nook tablet. The fire and both nooks are pretty affordable.

    There is no practical way to test every android device as there are so many, but you should at least test your app on one.

    Many thanks Gents... I am new into the whole droid world to date.
    I guess i'll have to shop for a droid device after all. . is tablet version ok/doable ??? or must it be and android phone device ???.

    or borrow a familyMember's/friend's Android device for testing …
    (and let them do a test … they might find problems faster than you do … 'cause you know how to do everything in it!)

    I bought a kindle fire to do my testing as that's the device I am targeting.

    I have to say the Kindle Fire is an easier device to work with in regards to getting your apps on the device. It is a bit more difficult on the Nook. However the Nook tablet is pretty sweet. The Nook has a little more power to it but either device will let you test your Android apps.
